HOW CAN YOU HELP?
If you would like to get involved, we’d love to have you on board! Please fill in the form below and let us know a few details about yourself and how you can help.
Due to the nature of the support, it would be particularly useful if you have, or are able to apply for, a DBS certificate. There is more information about this here.
We will be co-ordinating with existing charities including Age UK, Silverline and RVS and they will send us their needs for volunteers in due course. They all require DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service). In the meantime, it would make sense for anyone who wants to be able to contact and visit those in need to get a DBS check done – this can be done online at www.gov.uk/request-copy-criminal-record
We ask that only DBS certified volunteers actually physically visit those in need. Please use lots of caution and take safety precautions if you are arranging to meet someone you don’t know.
We understand people may want to ask for health advice but please first make use of the official NHS guidance.
If you are offering financial support, please visit our JustGiving page. This will help to cover the administration costs for the running of the group. Any funds beyond this will go to support the food bank charities that are supplying individuals who are referred to us that are unable to fund their food shopping. Mutual Aid High Wycombe is not a profit making organisation and is completely run by volunteers. None of its members will receive any payment.
